Our future plans

  • Provide a Mentorship Program and access to VC fund for student startups.
  • NE Ambassador Platform - To provide ambitious students opportunities to be campus ambassadors for companies in their field of interest. We have already had a few companies approached us for recruiting students through NE to be their Campus brand Ambassador.
  • NE International Projects-Activities on University of Nottingham's International campuses and creating business opportunities outside UK.

Collaboration with UNNC and Inter-campus cooperation

Global Enterprise is becoming more important as the fast growing economies like China open doors for business opportunities. Demand for innovations and entrepreneurial minds are also increasing especially at the University level. NE believes the University of Nottingham could exploit the advantage of having International campuses and continue to be a pioneer in Entrepreneurship, at the same time promotes inter-campus cooperation.

Nottingham Entrepreneurship Forum (NEF) is our annual highlight. In June 2010 we hosted in collaboration with the University Graduate School, UNIEI and the Portuguese Association of Researchers and Students UK the first edition of NEF at the Nottingham Business School. Apart from motivational speeches, the day included interactive workshops, collaborative problem-solving, informal discussions and opportunities to share expertise in all four themes: social, biotech, green and Internet entrepreneurship. Following the success, NEF 2nd Edition will be in March and drawing in a larger number of delegates. The Business Plan Competition will be incorporated and students may then enter the National Competition. We trust an event like NEF would be of interest to many students at UNNC and develop the entrepreneurial spirit within the University. We have made initial contacts with WEAVER Organization to co-host the event and made connections with successful entrepreneurs in China. We believe Nottingham Entrepreneurship Forum as well as other University entrepreneurial activities will be strongly supported by the Chinese government.
